The writing's on the wall

So my question for you is this; How do you tell your brilliant 2 yr. old (almost) daughter that, no we do not draw on the wall but you made a very wonderful "happy person?"

Reading

Daddy brought home 4 new books for Adara to read! For the next 30 min. all she wanted to do was read her books. It was wonderful!

Welcome to the 21st Century

My mom has officially come into the 21st Century with the rest of us and I am so proud of her! Yesterday they got their new computer and Internet set up so now she can finally see her beautiful Grandaughter more often. This also means that I'm going to have to be even better at keeping this blog up-to-date

I love you Mom!

Icky Flu

Adara is having her first bout with the flu. Ollie is getting over it now, hopefully, and Adara just came down with it. Tylenol and Triaminic are absolute wonders, they have come up with some amazing ways to get the medicine your precious baby needs without making a mess. Tylenol has Children's Meltaways that dissolve within a few seconds of puttng the tab in your mouth and Triaminic has the Cough Strips that are just like the melting breath strip things. It has definietly made keeping Adara comfortable much, much easier. She's also been drinking some Pedialyte, they have what they call Singles and it's like a juice bottle that's flavored as Apple Juice. She seems to really like it (I tried it and it's REALLY sweet) so that's a good thing. But her favorite thing of all is drinking a "sip of tea" (chammomile) from her beautiful tea cups from Auntie Kim. That's what seems to make her happiest. So here's a BIG thank you to Auntie Kim, Uncle ZZ, Declan, and Oscar.

So please keep us in your prayers as we fight off the flu. Love you all!

Some light reading

Adara got tired of waiting for us to read her bedtime story last night so she decided to read to herself. Just another example of Miss Independant, and we absolutely love it (well, sometimes).

As American as Apple Pie

Adara and I made her first Apple Pie!! It was so much fun, we used by Grandma's (Joan) recipe for the crust, and made up our own recipe for the filling. I didn't get a shot of me and Adara making it or even one of us after it was made but I did get a picture of Ollie and Adara (imagine that, I really need to step out from behind the camera more often *shrug*).

Fudge Bar!

Adara has discovered the Fudge Bar...the only thing that makes us feel better about it, is the fact that it is a Healthy Choice 100 Calorie version, and she only eats a few bites of it. It is extremely cute watching her dig in. There are always the fudgyfaces afterwards.
