Just a mini update here.  I know I've been a little (okay a lot) slow on updating but there's a good reason why.  We're closing on our house tomorrow!!  We've been going through all this contract mess since April and it's finally done (almost).  As soon as we get the keys to the house I'll put some pictures up.

Prom

I got to take prom pictures of my sister Liz and her boyfriend Steven tonight.  They turned out beautiful and my little sister is gorgeous (not to mention not so little anymore).

4 years old

It's so unbelievably weird and awesome that Adara is 4 now.

TTLY TXTN

(Totally Texting for those who don't know)

 

Adara has figured out the whole texting thing, which a lot of you know because you've gotten a text message from her.   It usually starts out with her texting her name followed by simple words like yes, no, dad, mom, car, and so on.  Little Miss Smarty Pants surprised us a couple days ago when she complained to Ollie via text.

I had told her that she needed to quit playing with my phone for a little while and clean up her toys to which she said, "No, I'm telling daddy to spank you."  First off she doesn't get spankings so the fact that she wanted to tell Ollie to spank me was funny.  Second I told her that if she could text it to Dad then she could use my phone for a little while longer...I have got to watch what I say to her.

Here's the conversation that followed between her and Ollie through texting:

Adara:   Dad spanc mom

 

Ollie:     Why? But I will do it regardless of your answer (yeah thanks Oliver, he's so sweet)

Adara:   Cus she teld me she will tak awa da fon

Adara:  I lov udad

Ollie:  I love you Adara

Later that night before bed she texted him again:

Adara:  Hom snugl:)~

Ollie:    I love you both goodnight

Adara:  I luv u dad

Ollie:    I love you daughter

Yeah that last one is melt my heart sweet.  As for the first one she's as rotten as they come and I love her for it.

Florida with Grandpa and Nana Juls

We had a blast in Sarasota with Grandpa and Nana Juls.  My favorite part of the whole vacation was getting to pet sting rays!  Adara says her favorite parts were digging in the sand and petting the sting rays.  Ollie's favorite part was not having to work and the warm weather (finally no snow!).
